1- Edit Profile (Instructor)
- Appendix C-1 for instructions: (EDIT PROFILE INSTRUCTOR PDF)
- Add/update: first name (not all CAPS), last name (not all CAPS) [Note: You may add your rank (COL/CSM) in front of your last name, and it will display on your dashboard.], email address (school), phone number (primary contact #), school (select from dropdown), address/location, position (SAI/AI), rank, and estimated # cadets)
- Change password
Note: Select SAVE after each update & BACK to return to the dashboard.
2 - Edit Profile Photo
- Appendix C-2 - edit profile photo: (EDIT PROFILE PHOTO - INSTRUCTOR PDF)
- Add/change or delete photo – Click on square above the EDIT PROFILE tab.
- Apply or exit.
3 - Select Language (Dropdown)

- Select language dropdown
- Arabic, French, German, Haitian Creole, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Samoan, Spanish, & Vietnamese
Note: The cadet can select the preferred language for viewing and completing assignments. The instructor can select the preferred language to view, comment, approve/deny, and grade assignments. Send a request through the HELP tab for additional languages to be added.

Note: Only ONE instructor should enter all cadets to the roster. The instructor that enters the cadets can view them under their MY CADETS tab. The remaining instructor(s) can view by selecting the OTHER CADETS FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL tab. See below OTHER CADETS for additional information.
- Option #1: Import cadets using the Cadet Portfolio Excel template
- Download the Excel template below, paste in your cadets with their LET # (1-4) and period # (1, 1a, 1b, 2, 2a, 2b, etc.), and import that file.
- Choose file to import
- Import
- View import history
- Option #2: Add 30 cadets at a time and click SUBMIT below.
- Input: last name, first name, level (LET 1-4), class period
- Delete Multiple Cadets – Appendix C-7A-2: (DELETE MULTIPLE CADETS PDF)
- Delete multiple cadets tab – Select all or the individual cadet box located to the left of cadet(s) name and select the DELETE MULTIPLE CADETS tab. Caution: Deleting means all work and account is deleted. Ensure you want to delete the cadet.
- Remove Multiple Cadets from Roster – Appendix C-7A-3: (REMOVE MULTIPLE CADETS FROM ROSTER PDF)
- Select all or the individual cadet box located to the left of cadet(s) name and select the REMOVE MULTIPLE CADETS FROM ROSTER tab.
- Batch Move Cadets Up One LET Level – Appendix C-7A-4: (BATCH MOVE MULITPLE CADETS UP ONE LET LEVEL PDF)
- Select all or the individual cadet box located to the left of cadet(s) name and select the BATCH MOVE CADETS UP ONE LET LEVEL tab.
- Batch Move Cadets to Lower LET – Appendix C-7A-5: (BATCH MOVE CADETS TO LOWER LET PDF)
- Select all or the individual cadet box located to the left of cadet(s) name and select the BATCH MOVE CADETS TO LOWER LET tab.
- My Cadets – Appendix C-7A-6: (MY CADETS PDF)
- Select all, sort by last name, first name, email, LET, or period
- Allows you to view a selected cadet’s profile, reset password, or view assignments
- Remove Cadets from Roster? – This selection will add selected cadets to the OTHER CADETS FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL tab.
- Delete Cadets? – This selection will permanently DELETE cadets from your system! You will immediately need to contact the Cadet Portfolio Help Desk 866-GO-JROTC (1-866-405-7683) and request a retrieval of cadets.
- Other Cadets From My High School – Appendix C-7A-7: (OTHER CADETS FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL PDF)
Note: The instructor that entered all the cadets will not have anyone located under this tab until they go to the MY CADETS tab and select “Remove from Roster?”; they will then show up under OTHER CADETS. The remaining instructor(s) can view all cadets here and select the ones they need added to their MY CADETS by selecting “Add to Roster?”.

- Note: Cadets MUST annotate their gender in their profiles for the correct scores to be calculated. The default is the male scoring, so ensure that cadets have made the appropriate selection under the EDIT PROFILE tab! Cadets must also add their birth month and year to their EDIT PROFILE for the Cadet Challenge to calculate the age.
